You may think treehouses are just for kids.
But think again as Virgin Holidays have unveiled a luxury, 35-foot high South African treehouse, overlooking London’s stunning Southbank.
The unusual accommodation comes with a private balcony, breath-taking views of the Thames and St Paul’s and even a personal chef on hand.
The treehouse is part of a week long installation inspired by the Lion Sands Game Reserve treehouse in South Africa.

The treehouse interior has been designed by Hubert Zandberg and features a range of tribal prints, a four-post bed and several one-off pieces of African sculpture.
The treehouse also comes with a six-course private menu from Masterchef contestant Petrus Madutlela.
But it’s not for a weak stomach, as the bizarre menu includes tempura meal worms with induja mayo, shaved ostrich biltong, braised terrine of crocodile and smoked goat fillet with chakalaka sauce.
Petrus explained: “This is an incredible experience, and I wanted to offer a menu that matches.”

The treehouse is now open for anyone to visit between 11am and 6pm until January 29th.
However a lucky few are in with a chance of winning an overnight stay.
All you need to do is register you details to virginholidays.co.uk/dreambigger.
